Alan Thicke returns to the role of Chicago's Billy Flynn on Broadway for one week only, June 25-July 1, singing of love, lawsuits and lechery with Nana Visitor, Vicki Lewis and Jennifer Holliday.
Brent Barrett takes over the part of slick lawyer Billy beginning July 2. (A previous announcement that Thicke would begin June 26 was incorrect; Chicago is dark on Tuesdays, although there is a special holiday show Tuesday July 3.)
In the Broadway and touring companies of Chicago, both Thicke and Barrett have played Flynn, an attorney with the gift of "Razzle Dazzle" who claims, "All I Care About is Love."
The smash revival of the Bob Fosse-John Kander Fred Ebb musical about getting away with murder continues to knock them dead at the Shubert Theatre.
Thicke is widely known for the TV sitcom, "Growing Pains," and Barrett is fresh from playing Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun opposite Reba McEntire. Barrett is no stranger to Kander and Ebb songs: He recorded a solo CD, "The Kander & Ebb Album."
