News Alan Wasser and Allan Williams Will Not Renew Tony Awards Contract Alan Wasser and Allan Williams of Alan Wasser Associates, general managers for the Tony Awards, have announced that they will not renew their contract for the 2012-13 season.

In a joint statement Charlotte St. Martin, executive director of The Broadway League, and Heather Hitchens, executive director of the American Theatre Wing, said, "The Tony Awards are grateful for the support that Alan Wasser Associates have provided to the Tony Awards for the past four years and thank them for helping to further establish the Tony Awards brand. During their tenure they have supervised the creation of the Times Square Simulcast, the Tony Awards Film Series, and a refreshed Tony Honors Cocktail Reception. They also spearheaded public relations initiatives such as the Bloomingdale’s Costume Exhibit and an expanded nominations announcement event and red carpet. In addition, their efforts to promote the Tony brand to a wider audience resulted in increased foreign licensing of the telecast as well as the first-ever availability of the Tony Awards for digital download through services like iTunes and Amazon.com and the first full-color Tony Awards in-theatre program. The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing are currently exploring a new management model as a long term strategy for the further enhancement and development of the Tony Awards." The American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 66th Annual Tony Awards June 10.
