SAN DIEGO -- The six productions for the Old Globe's 1999 season have been announced by artistic director Jack O'Brien, including the newly slated Albee's People, a compilation of excerpts from Edward Albee plays. Directed by Glyn O'Malley, the show will be performed on the Cassius Carter Centre Stage, Feb. 10-March 21, 1999 Also on the season schedule are:
Floyd Collins, music & lyrics by Adam Guettel, book by Tina Landau, directed by Tina Landau (Old Globe Playhouse, Feb. 13-March 21, 1999)
Bedroom Farce by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Joseph Hardy (Old Globe Playhouse, April 3-May 9, 1999);
The Magic Fire by Lillian Garrett- Groag, directed by Jack O'Brien (Old Globe Playhouse, May 29-July 3, 1999)
Blues For an Alabama Sky, by Pearl Cleage, directed by Seret Scott (Cassius Carter, March 31-May 9, 1999)
Three Days of Rain, by Richard Greenberg, directed by Andrew Traister (Cassius Carter, May 26-July 3, 1999)
Tina Landau will direct Floyd Collins, Joseph Hardy the Ayckbourn play, and Jack O'Brien The Magic Fire.
