News Albee, Kushner & Miller to do Cameos at Lower East Side NY Arts Fest, May 28-30 NY's Fourth Annual Lower East Side of the Arts will feature a sneak preview of a new work by Lanford Wilson (Burn This, Redwood Curtain), and appearances by Arthur Miller (Death of a Salesman), Edward Albee (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf), and Tony Kushner (Angels in America). The festival will take place in and around the Theater for the New City (First Ave. and East 10th St), May 28 - 30.

NY's Fourth Annual Lower East Side of the Arts will feature a sneak preview of a new work by Lanford Wilson (Burn This, Redwood Curtain), and appearances by Arthur Miller (Death of a Salesman), Edward Albee (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf), and Tony Kushner (Angels in America). The festival will take place in and around the Theater for the New City (First Ave. and East 10th St), May 28 - 30. Playwrights speaking or reading from their works include: Arthur Miller, Edward Albee, Tony Kushner, Jerry Stiller & Anne Meara, Israel Horovitz, Quentin Crisp, Richard Foreman, Jean-Claude Van Itallie, and Jimmy Breslin. Acclaimed solo performers Reno, Phoebe Leger, and Penny Arcade will perform selections from their work, as will composer/performer David Amram. There will also be plays by Maria Irene Fornes, Moises Kaufman and Eduardo Machado.

Other participating performing groups include the New York Shakespeare Festival, the Ontological Hysterical Theatre, NADA, W.O.W. Cafe, New York Theatre Workshop and Nuyorican Poets Cafe.

The weekend will commence May 28 at 6 PM in the Joyce and Seward Johnson Theater at TNC. For further information on times and places call (212) 254-1109.
