Edward Albee's All Over, one of the few full-length works by the playwright which hasn't received a major New York City revival in the last several years, is being given a Manhattan staging. The production, at Theatre 22 in Chelsea, stars Jacqueline Brooks and is directed by Teresa Hayden. The run ends on Oct. 22.
Brooks has appeared in New York stage for four decades. Her appearances include Six Characters in Search on an Author (Obie Award) and Buried Child. Her fellow cast members include Jill Van Note, Elizabeth Nafpaktitis, Richard Durham, Charles Cissel, James Stevenson and Hayden.
The original 1971 staging of All Over started Jessica Tandy and Colleen Dewhurst under John Gielgud's direction. Upcoming Albee attractions in the current season include Tiny Alice at Second Stage and a projected mounting of The Play About the Baby.
Tickets for All Over are $10. Theatre 22 is located at 54 W. 22nd Street. For more information, call (212) 472-1789.
