Andr_ Rieu's The Flying Dutchman moved to the number-one position in its third week on the chart, displacing ê_a Ira, the opera by Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters, which fell to number four. Ren_e Fleming's Sacred Songs moved from number three to number two.

Chanticleer's Sound in Spirit and the soundtrack to the movie The Chorus re-entered the chart at number 14 and number 25, respectively.

Albums showing significant sales gains this week were Cecilia Bartoli's Opera Proibita, which moved from number five to number three; Dawn Upshaw's recording of Osvaldo Golijov's Ayre and Luciano Berio's Folksongs, which moved from number nine to number six; and the 5 Browns' eponymous recording, which has been on the chart for 35 weeks, and is now at number eight.

Il Divo's self-titled album retained its hold on the number-one spot on the classical-crossover chart, and Josh Groban's Closer and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Love Is Spoken Here stayed at numbers two and three.

Sales gains were shown by Andrea Bocelli's Andrea, at number four; Russell Watson's Amore Musica, at number five; and Ronan Tynan's Ronan, at number seven.
