Emmy Award-winning and Tony-nominated actor Alec Baldwin brought the words of John, Robert and Edward Kennedy to life July 18 in The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers.

The concert, which took place at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, featured the Boston Pops Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, who performed an original composition, “The Dream Lives On,” featuring lyrics by Tony Award winner Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime) and music by Peter Boyer.

“This new multi-media work combines quotes from speeches by the Kennedy brothers with original text and video, accompanied by a dramatic orchestral and choral score,” according to press notes. “The choral score is presented by the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, which celebrates its
40th anniversary this summer.”

Baldwin recently completed a run in Equus at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in East Hampton. Other stage credits include Twentieth Century, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, A Streetcar Named Desire (Tony nomination), Serious Money and Loot. He holds two Emmys for his work on “30 Rock” and was nominated for an Academy Award for “The Cooler.”
