Prior to the staged reading, which is set to begin at 8 PM, VIP ticket holders will be invited to a private pre-show cocktail reception, which begins at 5:30 PM, and dinner, featuring an appearance by Baldwin, on the stage of CFA Drama Theatre.

In The Big Knife, Baldwin will read the role of Charlie Castle, a role originated on Broadway by John Garfield and played in a 1955 film adaptation by Jack Palance. He will be joined by a cast of 11 western New York-area actors, as well as the evening's master of ceremonies, WBFO radio personality Bert Gambini.

The Return of Alec Baldwin marks the third time Baldwin has performed in an event to benefit the Buffalo-based non-profit theatre, RLTP. He was seen in readings of Yasmina Reza's Art and David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow. Baldwin also is a member of RLTP's national advisory board.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is a professional, not-for-profit theater company founded in 2002 by Scott Behrend with Jon Elston; the company is dedicated to the development and production of new theatrical works by western New York playwrights.
