The album, featuring the music of composer-lyricist Alexander Sage Oyen — who was recently announced as a 2013-14 Dramatists Guild fellow alongside collaborator James Presson — will also include Oyen, Charlie Rosen, Charlie Brady (The Burnt Part Boys, South Pacific), Haley Bond, Noah Zachary (Dear Edwina), Jason Gotay (Bring It On), Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening), Yaniv Zarif, Monet Julia Sabel, Cailan Rose (Hair), Max Chernin, Drew Gasparini ("Smash"), Brandon Ellis (Once), Ephie Aardema, Lyle Colby Mackston and Michael McCorry Rose (Wicked).
"'Drafts' (volumes One and Two) is a project that I came up with a little over a year ago," said composer Oyen via email. "I wanted to create an opportunity to work with people that I respected and loved. Every single person on both of the albums is someone that I think the world of. So I decided to create a project that was just about getting it out there and absolutely not about making it perfect. A lot of the tracks are gritty, raw and fresh. That was the aesthetic that I really wanted to pursue with the albums."
"Drafts: The Music and Lyrics of Alexander Sage Oyen (Volume Two)" is produced by Oyen and musician Charlie Rosen (One Man, Two Guvnors).
