Hayley Atwell, Harry Hadden-Paton, Al Weaver, and Mathew Horne will begin performances Aug. 8, prior to an official opening Aug. 13 at the Trafalgar Studios.

Lloyd also previously directed the play's world premiere at the Royal Court's Theatre Upstairs in 2008, and in a press statement he said, "Only 85 people a night got the chance to see The Pride during a very short run when Alexi and I premiered the play Upstairs at the Royal Court in 2008, so I am very excited that a bigger, more diverse London audience will now get the chance to see the play in this brand-new production. My hope is that each production in the Trafalgar Transformed season engages directly with the world outside the theatre's walls. Entering into the advancing debate about equal marriage, I am thrilled to announce the West End premiere of Alexi Kaye Campbell's modern masterpiece."

In the play, Philip, Oliver and Sylvia exist in a complex love triangle, which spans over half a century, living and loving simultaneously in 1958 and the present against a background of changing attitudes towards homosexuality. Past and present worlds grind together and melt apart, yet the future and its promise of sexual liberation remains ever elusive, as societal repression gives way to self-deception. According to press materials, it is "about courage, compassion and the fear of loneliness in life's journey towards self-discovery."

Atwell, who plays Sylvia, was last seen on the London stage in Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Faith Machine, also directed by Lloyd. Previous stage credits include A View from The Bridge at the Duke of York's Theatre (for which she was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress), Major Barbara at the National Theatre (for which she received an Ian Charleson Commendation in 2009) and Women Beware Women for the Royal Shakespeare Company. TV credits include "Life of Crime," "Black Mirror," "Pillars of the Earth" (for which she was nominated for Best Actress in a Mini Series for the Golden Globe Awards in 2011), "Mansfield Park" and "Ruby in the Smoke." Film credits include "All Is By My Side," "The Man," "The Sweeney," "Captain America – The First Avenger," "The Duchess," "Brideshead Revisited," "How About You" and "Cassandra's Dream."

Hadden-Paton, who plays Philip, previously worked with Lloyd on She Stoops to Conquer at the National Theatre. Other stage credits include The Changeling at the Young Vic, No Naughty Bits at Hampstead Theatre, Flarepath at the Haymarket Theatre, The Prince of Homburg at the Donmar Warehouse and Posh at the Royal Court Theatre. Al Weaver, who plays Philip, previously worked with Lloyd on Indmissible Evidence at the Donmar Warheouse. Other theatre credits include The House of Games at the Almeida Theatre, Coram Boy at the National Theatre and Hamlet at the Old Vic.

Horne, who plays The Man, Peter and The Doctor, was last seen on the London stage in Charley's Aunt at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Other stage credits include Entertaining Mr. Sloane at the Trafalgar Studios. He is best known on screen for his regular roles in "Gavin & Stacey," "Bad Education" and "The Catherine Tate Show."

Jamie Lloyd's earlier productions in the Trafalgar Transformed Season have comprised Pinter's The Hothouse (currently playing through Aug. 3) and Macbeth starring James McAvoy. He will next direct The Commitments at the West End's Palace Theatre. Other theatre credits include Cyrano de Bergerac (for Roundabout Theatre Company at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre), The Duchess of Malfi (Old Vic), She Stoops to Conquer (at the National's Olivier Theatre), Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Faith Machine and The Pride (both at the Royal Court), and Inadmissible Evidence, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Passion, Polar Bears and Piaf (all Donmar Warehouse), and The Little Dog Laughed and The Lover and The Collection (both West End).

Kaye-Campbell won the Critics' Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright for The Pride, his first play which also saw the Royal Court win an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre. Other plays have included Apologia (at the Bush), The Faith Machine (Royal Court) and Bracken Moor (Tricycle). He is currently working on his first feature film "Woman in Gold" with Simon Curtis for BBC Films and Origin Pictures.
