News Alford and Gutierrez Among Cast of Off-Broadway's To Whom It May Concern Complete casting and creative duties have been announced for the Off-Broadway production of Aurin Squire's comedy To Whom It May Concern, which begins performances March 19 at the Arclight Theatre.

Under the direction of David Gaard, To Whom It May Concern officially opens March 25 and will play a limited run through April 19. Matt Alford and Israel Gutierrez will lead a cast that also features Carmelo Ferro and Nicholas Reilly.

Squire's work, according to press notes, "addresses the effects of America's 'peace keeping mission' in Afghanistan as it focuses on the long distance communication between a battle-scarred young marine stationed in Kabul and an emotionally out of control adolescent boy in Abilene Kansas. The boy attracts the marine's attention by deciding to pretend that he is an 18-year-old female with a crush after having read an article about the soldier's heroic activities in a local paper. They begin a cyber romance that is temporarily shattered when the marine decides to pay a visit to 'the girl' of his dreams."

Designing To Whom It May Concern are Bruce Eyster (set design), Michele Reisch (costume design) and Erich Loetterle (lighting design).

Squire, a playwright and freelance reporter, is also the author of Defacing Michael Jackson and Nueva Cancion. He also writes "Bodega Avenue," an online cartoon about his Brooklyn neighbors.

The Arclight Theatre is located in Manhattan at 152 West 71st Street. Tickets are available by calling (212) 352-3101 or (866) 811-4111.
