With a book by Paul Stancato and a score by Stancato, Chris Blisset and Matt Uremovich, ROCKSHOW will feature direction by James Alexander Bond. The evening, according to production notes, explores "one fictionalized night in the rock n’ roll career of real-life NYC band Group Therapy. . . . Tensions mount and insecurities rise as the relationships within the band are pushed to their limits. Are they good enough? Are they young enough? Will they make it?" The band Group Therapy comprises Carlos Bermudez (lead vocals), Chris Blisset (guitar), Merideth Kaye Clark (bass) and Paul Stancato (drums). The ROCKSHOW cast will also include Darren T. Mangler, Gina Nigido and James Ellsworth.
The production will also feature guest appearances by The Spin Doctor's Chris Barron and Broadway favorite Alice (Side Show, Sunset Boulevard, The Rocky Horror Show) Ripley; the latter will play tracks from her upcoming new CD.
