With The Red Address, Kevin Anderson makes his first New York stage appearance since playing Joe Gillis to Patti LuPone's Norma Desmond in the London Sunset Boulevard. The new play, a dark one by All in the Timing author David Ives, follows a seemingly ordinary American businessman and the relationship between his public life and powerful romance with his beautiful wife.
Red Address premered this week at Off Broadway's Second Stage Theatre, under the direction of Pamela (Steel Magnolias) Berlin.
Anderson stars as the intense businessman. In his support are Cady McLain, Ned Eisenberg, Welker White, Josh Hopkins and Jon Devries. Kevin Anderson's previous roles include parts in Orpheus Descending, Moonchildren and Orphans. Pamela Berlin's New York credits include The Family Of Mann and Steel Magnolias.
Christine Jones designed the set for Address, David Woolard the costumes, Donald Holder the lighting.
