Oliver Cotton, one of England's most accomplished actors, will have the premiere of his new comedy Wet Weather Cover at the Tiffany Theatre June 19. The director is John Gidcomb.

Wet Weather Cover is set five weeks into the shoot of a low-budget film in Spain when the rains have set in. Stranded in their trailer, two actors -- one American, the other British -- are forced to confront their many professional and cultural differences. As the day passes, the tension mounts and eventually culminates in explosive but rib-tickling fashion.

Born in London, Cotton was first invited to join the National Theatre under the regime of Sir Laurence Olivier. He has also worked at the NT under Sir Peter Hall, Sir Richard Eyre and Trevor Nunn. Cotton's writing credits include The Enoch Show for the Royal Court.

Cotton will conduct two question & answer sessions following the June 25 & 26 performances.

The Tiffany Theatre is at 8532 Sunset Blvd. Call (310) 289-2999 for information. -- By Willard Manus
