According to the Hollywood Reporter, producers Chris Bender, J.C. Spink and Jake Weiner of Benderspink, and Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are pushing forward with the project — which has been in development since 2004 with various creatives, including Adam Shankman and Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Bob the Musical will center on Bob, a regular guy who — after a blow to the head — can hear the "inner songs of everyone's heart as his reality is instantly turned into a musical, much to his dismay."

Loeb, who wrote the screenplay for the musical adaptation of Rock of Ages, also worked on "Just Go With It," "21," "The Switch" and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," among others.
