Classic Arts News Allen Toussaint Drops Out of Carnegie Hall's Route 57 Festival New Orleans rhythm and blues pianist Allen Toussaint will not appear at Carnegie Hall's Route 57 roots music festival as planned next month, the venue announced.
Toussaint has a scheduling conflict, according to a press release.

Instead, the blues guitarist and singer Corey Harris will appear at Zankel Hall on May 23, on a program with blues pianist Henry Butler.

The festival also includes performances by fiddler Natalie MacMaster, singer singer Norman Kennedy, the Del McCoury bluegrass band, the gospel and folk group Ollabelle, the gospel group the Campbell Brothers, and the folk blues guitarist Chris Smither.
