News Altar Boyz Doreck to Make Cutting Room Concert Debut Altar Boyz cast member Chad Doreck will make his solo New York concert debut Feb. 21 at the Cutting Room.

Doreck, who currently plays Matthew in the Off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz, will perform songs he has written for an upcoming album entitled "Awake and Sing" – described as a mix of pop, funk and soul music. "I am a funk artist. I love that dirty sound that comes from the gut…the soul," Doreck states.

Inspired by the work of such artists as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Al Green and Quincy Jones, the singer-actor will perform songs including "Good Girls Gone Bad," "Bad Love," and "Awake and Sing." Doreck will be backed by a full band including trumpet, trombone, sax, bass, drums guitar and piano. His back-up singers, named "The Chadillacs," will provide additional vocals.

A finalist from the reality series "Grease You're The One That I Want," Doreck has also been seen on television's "Days of Our Lives," "Touched by An Angel," "NYPD Blue" and "My Life as a Teenage Robot."
