The second concert of the series features four singer-songwriters "who epitomize the alternative voice of rock":  Angela Ai, Rosemary Loar, Brendan Milburn (of Groovelily) and Jeremy Schonfeld. They will each present a set of their own music, including a ballad, or "torch song," performed by a Broadway singer of their choice.

Composer Loar invites Rebecca Luker (The Music Man, The Secret Garden, Nine) to join her, while Schonfeld invites Alicia Irving (Side Show, Les Miserables, Sunset Boulevard).

Milburn invites Darrin Baker (Wonderful Town, Footloose, Sunset Boulevard), and Ai invites Cynthia Sophiea (Mamma Mia!, Kiss Me, Kate, Scarlet Pimpernel).

The four-piece rock band that accompanies each singer songwriter includes Jim Abbott on keyboards, Gary Seligson on drums, Leo Huppert on bass, and Roger Butterley on guitar. The evening will be hosted by Rosemary Loar.

Tickets, priced at $25 ($22 for members and seniors), are available by phone at (212) 864-5400; online at www.symphonyspace.org or at the box office. Symphony Space is located at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street.
