Singer-actress-composer Amanda McBroom, best known as the composer of the Bette Midler hit "The Rose," will premiere her new one-woman musical play this summer at the Rubicon Theatre Company.

From June 10-July 11, McBroom will star in Lady Macbeth Sings the Blues at the California theatre. Written by McBroom and Joel Silberman, the production will be directed by Silberman with musical direction by Dean Mora.
