News Amanda Peet Lands Role on CBS Drama "The Good Wife" Stage and screen actress Amanda Peet has been cast in a recurring role on the CBS drama series "The Good Wife," according to TVLine.com.

As previously reported, Tony Award winners Kristin Chenoweth (You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown) and Nathan Lane (The Producers) will also join the series in the upcoming fourth season, which is scheduled to begin in September.

Peet will play a military lawyer who hires Alicia (played by Julianna Margulies) and sues a contract worker for an attempted sexual assault.

Peet, who has been seen on Broadway in Barefoot in the Park, appeared in the films "2012," "Identity," "A Lot Like Love" and "Something's Gotta Give," among others. Visit her page at the Playbill Vault.

"The Good Wife" stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Margulies as lawyer Alicia Florrick. The series was nominated for nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series.
