Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and Octet composer Dave Malloy will host a benefit next month in support of Brooklyn venue JACK's move to its new performance space. Among those set to perform is Tony-nominated Hadestown star Amber Gray (who starred in Malloy's Great Comet on Broadway).
The JACK Moves Benefit Concert will be held June 24 at (Le) Poisson Rouge at 8 PM. Click here for tickets, starting at $25.
Others scheduled to perform throughout the evening include Brent Arnold, Gelsey Bell, Catherine Brookman, Shasta Geaux Pop, Justin Hicks, Erin Markey, Alice Teyssier, and Jillian Walker, with more to be announced.
As previously announced, JACK, the Brooklyn theatre that has been home to such acclaimed productions as Gracie Gardner's Athena and Stacey Rose's The Danger: A Homage to Strange Fruit is gearing up to move into a new, larger space. After seven years at its original address on Waverly Avenue, the organization has signed a 10-year lease at the nearby 18 Putnam Avenue.
