News American Buffalo Added to Hartford TheaterWorks Season Andrew Benator will appear in David Mamet's American Buffalo, which has been newly added to the season at Hartford TheaterWorks.

Steve Campo will direct the production, which is scheduled to run Sept. 11-Oct. 18. Benator, who previously appeared in the TheaterWorks productions of Proof, Lobby Hero and SantaLand Diaries, has been cast as Teach.

The forthcoming production marks the third time Hartford has produced American Buffalo, having staged the work in 1986 and again in 1992. The work follows a small-time crook Teach, a junk shop owner named Walter and a young delinquent who conspire to steal a valuable coin from a local collector.

Additional casting and creative duties will be announced in the coming months.

TheaterWorks has also announced that Henry Wishcamper will stage Stephen Karam's Speech & Debate, which will run June 12-July 26.
