Classic Arts News American Dance Festival Announces 2006 Lineup The 2006 American Dance Festival will include performances by Pilobolus, the Paul Taylor Dance Company, David Dorfman Dance, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence, and Shen Wei Dance Arts, the festival announced.
The 73-year-old festival runs June 8-July 22 in Durham, North Carolina. It will include a total of 25 world premieres, according to a press release.

Also on the schedule are Doug Varone and Dancers, Keigwin + Company, Russia's Provincial Dancers Theatre, Israel's Emanuel Gat Dance, Spain's Soledad Barrio & Noche, and the double bill of solo performers Sara Juli and Miguel Gutierrez.

Other highlights include a "jam session" with IndianKathak dancer Pandit Chitresh Das and American tap dancer Jason Samuels Smith, and a program of new works from Luis Garay, Takuya Muramatsu, and Tatiana Bagamova created as part of the festival's International Choreographers Commissioning Program.
