"I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall," said "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy July 10 via Twitter.
Lambert released his new solo recording, "Trespassing," in May 2012. His debut album, "For Your Entertainment," has sold over one million copies worldwide since making its debut at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in November 2009.
As previously reported, "Glee" actors Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum, Jr., who have all been with the Fox musical series since its first season, will no longer be series regulars.
"Glee" is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Dante Di Loreto serve as executive producers.
