The Allen Room series will launch Jan. 28, 2014, with Tony Award winner James Naughton performing the songs of Randy Newman. Additional highlights include Pippin Tony Award winner Patina Miller, who will make her New York solo concert debut Jan. 31; and five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (Giant, Marie Christine, Hello Again, The Wild Party), who will be joined by Emily Skinner, Marc Kudisch and Mary Testa for a Feb. 1 evening that will focus on the composer-lyricist's exploration of the American experience.

Both Naughton and Miller's concerts will be filmed for a spring 2014 broadcast on PBS' "Live from Lincoln Center."

The music of Dreamgirls and Side Show composer Henry Krieger will be celebrated in a Feb. 13 concert featuring his new Side Show leading ladies, Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, as well as Tony nominee Rebecca Luker and musical director Andy Einhorn.

Original Spring Awakening star Groff will be joined by musical director Mary-Mitchell Campbell on Feb. 15; followed by a Feb. 20 concert featuring Jessica Molaskey exploring the songs of Joni Mitchell. Cinderella and Avenue Q actress Ann Harada will take the stage Feb. 22; and performance artist Taylor Mac will offer his 24-Decade History of Popular Music Concert Series March 5.

On March 7, American Songbook will host Jim Caruso's Cast Party Goes to the Movies, with special guests Billy Stritch, Marilyn Maye, Jane Monheit, Christina Bianco and Jeffry Denman; and Tony Award-nominated Porgy and Bess actor Norm Lewis will offer a tribute to the singers, performers and songwriters who inspire him March 8. Peformances in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse include Passing Strange and Murder Ballad actress Rebecca Naomi Jones April 4; and UnsungMusicalsCo., which will offer an evening of Unsung Carolyn Leigh April 5, with rare songs from the scores to Gatsby, How Now Dow Jones and the original, unproduced version of Smile. Guests include Jenny Powers, Max von Essen and Drew Gehling.
