News   Amy Pemberton, Oliver Tompsett and Simon Lipkin Complete Cast of West End's Rock of Ages
Amy Pemberton, Oliver Tompsett and Simon Lipkin will join the previously announced Justin Lee Collins and Shayne Ward to star in the London edition of Rock of Ages that begins performances Aug. 31 prior to an official opening Sept. 27 at the West End's Shaftesbury Theatre.

Also in the cast will be Rohan Tickell, Rachel McFarlane, Jodie Jacobs, Sandy Moffatt, Nathan Amzi, Natalie Andreou, Grant Anthony, Carly Mercedes Dyer, Cordelia Farnworth, Ian McIntosh, Twinnie-Lee Moore, Jamie Muscato, Andrew Spillett, Zizi Strallen, Amy Thornton and Dylan Turner.

Pemberton and Tompsett will play, respectively, the roles of the small-town girl and boy Sherrie and Drew, who meet, fall in love, lose each other then struggle to fight for their love.

Pemberton has previously appeared in the West End in Footloose and Jersey Boys, and Tompsett has appeared as Fiyero in Wicked, as well as in Mamma Mia!, Our House and Over My Shoulder.

In a press statement, Tompsett said, "Growing up listening to 80's Power Ballads on VH1, I used to dream about combining 80's rock songs with musical comedy, but someone beat me to it. Rock of Ages is way better than what I dreamt of, and you know what they say - 'If you can't beat them, join them!'"

Lipkin, who played Nicky/Trekkie Monster in the original London cast of Avenue Q, will play the wise-cracking narrator Lonny. To book tickets, contact the box office on 020 7379 5399, or visit
