Broadway's An American in Paris, winner of four Tony Awards, becomes the first Broadway show to be featured on "Facebook Live" Dec. 16 during the matinee performance at the Palace Theatre.

Cast members Leanne Cope and Brandon Uranowitz will host the live broadcast using the "Facebook Live" feature; other members of the cast will participate, taking fans inside the backstage world of the new musical.

The live video will begin at 3:05 PM ET on the musical’s Facebook Page: https://facebook.com/americaninparisbway. Fans will be able to ask questions and partake in the experience in real time. After the broadcast ends, the video will be published to the American in Paris Facebook page so that fans who missed it can watch at a later time.

Inspired by the Academy-Award winning film, An American in Paris features music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, a book by Craig Lucas and direction and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon. American in Paris has also won four Drama Desk Awards; four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical; the Drama League Award for Best Musical; three Fred and Adele Astaire Awards; and two Theatre World Awards.

An American In Paris, according to press notes, "is the romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war." The production opened on April 12, 2015, to widespread critical acclaim.
