Morrison performs with the National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Steven Reineke.
Here's how the evening is billed: "From his role as perpetually optimistic teacher Will Schuester on TV's 'Glee,' to his star turns in Broadway's Hairspray and South Pacific, Emmy, Golden Globe, and Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison seems virtually unstoppable. A genuine 'quintuple threat' — actor, dancer, singer, songwriter, and musician — Morrison joins the NSO Pops over Thanksgiving weekend to perform his own compositions along with selections from his upcoming album Where It All Began. He'll put his own personal stamp on such standards as 'Singin' in the Rain,' 'Send in the Clowns,' 'As Long as She Needs Me,' 'It Don't Mean a Thing,' 'The Lady Is a Tramp' and many more."
Additionally, PBS will air a special concert by Morrison — recorded at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, CT, featuring "timeless Christmas songs and a collection of standards from 'Where It All Began'" — beginning Nov. 30. Check local listings.
The singer-actor recently released his first holiday EP, "A Classic Christmas," marking Morrison's second release from 222 Records, the newly formed label from Adam Levine.
