News An Evening With Shirley MacLaine Will Be Seen in Texas and California Academy Award-winning actress Shirley MacLaine will give Dallas-area audiences a behind-the-scenes look at some of her most memorable screen performances in a one-night-only event April 30 at Bass Performance Hall.

The stage and film veteran will share An Evening With Shirley MacLaine at 8 PM. The event promises a montage of MacLaine's screen performances with commentary, revelations about her career and her spiritual journey.

MacLaine earned an Academy Award for "Terms of Endearment" and ten Golden Globe Awards. Her numerous film appearances include "Sweet Charity," "Irma la Douce," "Postcards from the Edge," "Steel Magnolias," "The Evening Star" and "Guarding Tess." She made her Broadway debut in Me and Juliet and also appeared in the original cast of The Pajama Game, as well as her self-titled solo shows in 1976 and 1984.

She most recently released her latest book, "I’m Over All That – And Other Confessions" on April 5. Her numerous books include "My Lucky Stars," "Sage-ing While Age-ing," "Out on a Limb," "The Camino" and "Dancing in the Night."

Upcoming dates also include Galveston, TX (May 1), Northridge, CA (May 6) and Long Beach, CA (Sept. 24).
