The performers who will take on songs from roles in which they would never be cast include Christian Borle, Brian d'Arcy James, Kelsey Fowler, Ana Gasteyer, Justin Guarini, Josh Henry, Alison Jaye Horowitz, Laura Osnes and Nicole Parker. Phil Reno is the evening's musical director.
Andy Cohen, the host of Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," hosts the gala, which begins at 6:30 PM with cocktails and a silent auction. Dinner and a celebration of the gala's honorees will follow at 7:30 PM, with the performance beginning at 8:45 PM. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the theatre's productions and work in schools and in support of developing new playwrights.
David Duchovny (MCC's Break of Noon, "The X-Files"), Téa Leoni ("Ghost Town," "Spanglish"), Hugh Dancy (MCC's The Pride) and Emmy Award winner Claire Danes (Pygmalion, "Temple Grandin") serve as honorary chairs for the evening, which will honor several veterans of MCC productions.
