National Tour News Anastasia National Tour Reveals Full Slate of Engagements Into Summer 2020, Including Los Angeles, Boston, and Atlanta See which cities the stage adaptation of the animated hit will play in its second year.

The national tour of the Broadway musical Anastasia, which kicked off last fall in Schenectady, New York, has added an additional 25 cities to its itinerary through summer 2020.

The production will kick off its second year on the road in early October, playing San Diego’s Civic Theatre prior to stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Seattle, Portland, Boston, and Atlanta.

Anastasia is based on the 1997 animated movie musical, featuring a score by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The two collaborators were Oscar-nominated for the film's “Journey to the Past” and expanded their score for the Broadway premiere, which has a book by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally. The three previously collaborated on the Tony-winning musical Ragtime.

Lila Coogan leads the tour in the role of Anya in a cast that also features Stephen Brower as Dmitry, Jason Michael Evans as Gleb, Joy Franz as Dowager Empress, Tari Kelly as Countess Lily, and Edward Staudenmayer as Vlad.
