News Andersen, Cutrell, Montgomery, Maitner and More Set for My Queer Youth In honor of Gay Pride Week, the Storefront will present an encore performance of My Queer Youth June 25 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

Phil Geoffrey Bond's play, which premiered in April 2004, will boast the talents of Tom Andersen, Jason Courson, Brandon Cutrell, Carolyn Montgomery, Rob Maitner, Courter Simmons and playwright Bond. Ray Fellman is the musical director for the production, which features compositions by Michael Rupert and Jerry Colker, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, Charles Strouse and Lennie Watts. Show time is 9:30 PM. My Queer Youth, according to press notes, "is the humorous tale of a young man growing up gay amongst the cornfields of Indiana. From a childhood inundated with Osh-Kosh-Be-Gosh play clothes and wide-banded tube socks, to getting up the nerve to ask a boy out on a first date, [the play] is the coming-of-age tale of a fay little boy carving out an existence in the heartland of America."
