News Anderson, Bostnar, McClintock and More to Star in Off-Broadway's Dangerous Personality Sallie Bingham's A Dangerous Personality will make its world premiere June 4 at Off-Broadway's Julia Miles Theatre.

Directed by Martin Platt, the new play about the life of Helena Blavatsky will officially open June 11. The cast will feature Nancy Anderson, Lisa Bostnar, Steve Brady, Sheffield Chastain, Graeme Malcolm and Jodie Lynne McClintock as Blavatsky.

Helena Blavatsky, according to press notes, "explored Tibet, fought with Garibaldi, rode across India on the back of an elephant, was friends with Thomas Edison – a terror to the establishment, and a nightmare to the British Raj. Russian-born spiritualist and philosopher Helena Blavatsky lived everywhere from London to India to Hell's Kitchen – and was (and remains) one of the most controversial figures in world religion. With her colleague, Henry Steele Olcott, she created Theosophy – the science of religion, The Secret Doctrine – Christ without the Church. Her ideas are still as timely and thought provoking as then. Her life was lived on a colossal scale, and now Sallie Bingham's play brings this extraordinary woman, and her story to the stage."

The production will feature set design by Bill Clarke, costume design by Martha Hally, lighting design by Tom Sturge and sound design by Lindsay Jones.

Sallie Bingham's plays also include Milk of Paradise, In the Presence and Hopscotch. She is the founder of the Kentucky Foundation for Women.

A Dangerous Personality is presented by the Perry Street Theatre Company. The Julia Miles Theater is located at 424 West 55th Street in Manhattan. Tickets, priced $37.50, are available by visiting www.telecharge.com or calling (212) 239-6200.
