News Anderson to Offer Ten Cents a Dance at Birdland Two-time Drama Desk nominee Nancy Anderson will bring her acclaimed Ten Cents a Dance cabaret act to Birdland May 7.

The 7 PM show will celebrate Anderson's debut solo recording, which is also titled "Ten Cents a Dance." Produced by Bill Daugherty, the evening will feature musical direction by Ross Patterson and Danny Whitby. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear Anderson's interpretations of tunes from the twenties and thirties, including "The Trouble with Me Is You," "My Romance," "But Not for Me" and "Ten Cents a Dance." The singing actress will be backed by Ross Patterson and His Little Big Band.

Nancy Anderson was most recently seen on Broadway as Eileen Sherwood in the revival of Wonderful Town. She made her Broadway debut as Mona in A Class Act and starred in the West End production of Kiss Me, Kate as Lois/Bianca. Off-Broadway she was seen in Fanny Hill (Drama Desk nomination), Jolson & Co. (Drama Desk nomination) and Fables in Slang. Anderson's regional theatre credits include Fanny Hill, Nicolette and By Jeeves.
