Marcovicci offers Blue Champagne: The History of the Torch Song Nov. 16-Dec. 30 at the famed Manhattan venue. She will be accompanied by Shelly Markham on piano and Jered Egan on bass.

Blue Champagne, according to notes, "not only revels in the heartbreak inherent in this most vulnerable genre of music, but the show is carefully balanced with zany numbers in the quest for a little comic relief from unrequited love songs, as well as wonderful stories of the earliest ladies of torch — Helen Morgan, Ruth Etting and Libby Holman, among others. With her latest show, Andrea brings her unique insight to this tale of longing, losing and gunplay!"

Expect to hear Marcovicci's renditions of "Someone to Watch Over Me," "Love Me or Leave Me," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "Body and Soul," "Just Like a Man" and "Shakin' the Blues Away."

Andrea Marcovicci starred on Broadway in the short-lived musical Ambassador and in Frank D. Gilroy's Any Given Day. Her screen credits include roles in "The Front," "Someone to Love," "Jack the Bear," "Who Is Henry Jaglom?," "The Water Engine" and "Trapper John, M.D." It has been the cabaret stage, however, where she has received the most acclaim. The singer-actress has performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and in concert halls throughout the world. Her solo albums are numerous and include "Marcovicci Loves Movies," "What Is Love?," "Just Kern," "December Songs," "New Words," "Live from London" and "Some Other Time."

Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 8:30 PM with late shows Friday and Saturday at 11 PM.

The Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel is located at 59 West 44th Street. For reservations call (212) 419-9331 or (212) 840-6800 and ask for Oak Room Reservations.
