The raucous rock musical, which features a cast of hipsters carousing about a set that could be a Williamsburg, Brooklyn bar, tells the life story of the seventh President of the United States through irreverent emo-rock tunes.
On April 20, in the middle of Jackson's powerful final speech at a Harvard commencement, an audience member's cell phone began ringing. Without missing a beat (and completely in line with the tone and language of the show), Walker asked, "Are you f***ing kidding me?"
The appreciative audience, who had been laughing and rocking along with the cast throughout the 90-minute show, let out whoops and applause. Eyeliner and dignity intact, Walker continued with his final lines.
