PlayBlog Andrew Lloyd Webber Joins West End Cast of Love Never Dies For Final Curtain Call (Video) Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, ended its West End run at the Adelphi Theatre Aug. 27. The musical was set to transfer to Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre, but those plans never materialized following the London opening March 9, 2009.

Original stars Ramin Karimloo (who has played the Phantom throughout the Love Never Dies run) and Sierra Boggess (who played Christine) will return to those roles in the original Phantom of the Opera when that show celebrates its 25th anniversary with a special concert staging at the Royal Albert Hall Oct. 1-2.

Set ten years after the conclusion of The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies follows soprano Christine Daae to New York's Coney Island, where she is invited to perform for the mysterious Mr. Y. Characters from her past begin to emerge, including one with whom she shares a dark secret.

Love Never Dies has a score by Lloyd Webber, who made an appearance at the show's final curtain call to thank the cast and creative team for their work on his Phantom sequel.
