Broadway News Angels in America Extends Broadway Run After Record-Breaking 11 Tony Nominations The revival of Tony Kushner's two-part epic has added two weeks to its limited engagement.

After becoming the most Tony Award-nominated production of a play in Broadway history, the revival of Tony Kushner's Angels in America has extended its limited engagement by two weeks. The two-part epic will now run through July 15 (instead of the previously announced July 1) at the Neil Simon Theatre.

The production received 11 Tony Award nominations May 1, including Best Revival of a Play, Best Director of a Play for Marianne Elliott, Leading Actor in a Play for Andrew Garfield, Featured Actor in a Play for Nathan Lane, and Featured Actress in a Play for both Denise Gough and Susan Brown.

In addition to Garfield as Prior Walter, Lane as Roy Cohn, Gough as Harper Pitt, and Brown as Hannah Pitt, the cast includes James McArdle as Louis Ironson, Lee Pace as Joseph Pitt, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett as Belize, and Amanda Lawrence as the Angel (played at select performances by Beth Malone).

The staging, which began at London's National Theatre last year, picked up additional Tony nods in every design category, as well as in Best Original Score for Adrian Sutton.
