Paula Suozzi directs the April 11 invited reading of the new play The Best of All Possible Worlds by Alice Austen. It begins at 8 PM at the New Ohio Theatre in New York.

Set to star are Tony nominees Anika Larsen and Peter Friedman alongside Mark H. Dold, Laura Frye and Sean Hudock.

According to the creators, the play “is set to music and told over the span of three generations, it tells the story of a good-natured priest who cares for his aging, ill-tempered father and the fateful visit that sparks a confrontation over family tragedy and a war never fought.”

It is presented by Titan Theatre Company, official company in residence at Queens Theatre, and produced by Titan artistic director Lenny Banovez.

Austen’s plays include Animal Farm (for Steppenwolf), Fourth Blood Moon, Ninth Man Out, Plaza Hotel Ballroom and Water, among others.
