News Annalee Jefferies Continues on Bad Dates at Houston's Alley, March 4-April 3 After an extended run at Hartford Stage, Annalee Jefferies will reprise her role as the recently single mom in Theresa Rebeck's Bad Dates for Houston audiences at the Alley Theatre.

The co-production directed by Hartford Stage's associate artistic director Jeremy B. Cohen will play at the Alley's Neuhaus Stage for a March 4-April 3 run with an opening night set for March 9.

In Bad Dates, Jefferies stars as restaurant manager and shoe connoisseur Haley Walker who has recently rejoined the dating scene. As she prepares for yet another evening out, the Jimmy Choos devotee relates her experiences with gentlemen callers.

Jefferies has appeared at the Alley in The Exonerated, A Streetcar Named Desire, the title role in Hedda Gabler, Angels in America, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and Danton's Death. She has also appeared on Broadway in The Wake of Jamey Foster and Off-Broadway in What Didn't Happen.

The design team for Bad Dates includes Jeff Cowie (scenic), Alejo Vietti (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting) and John Gromada (sound).

The Texas company — which is set to present Arthur Miller's The (Feb. 25 March 20 — will next present Steve Martin's The Underpants (April 1-24), David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross (May 6-June 5) and Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias (May 12-June 5).
