Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach will perform a staged reading of Allen Appel's Dear Heartsey 7:30 PM Oct. 29 at Colden Auditorium on the campus of Queens College in Flushing, NY.

The play, whose reading is sponsored by the Center for Jewish Studies at Queens College, is about Jewish life in the colonial era.

Tickets for the free reading have been distributed, but a line will form prior to curtain for those wishing to take unclaimed seats in the theatre. For information, call (718) 997-3888.

After a five-year stand in the Army Medical Administrative Corp during World War II, Wallach made his stage debut -- and met his wife, Anne Jackson -- in an Off-Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' This Property Is Condemned. He appeared on Broadway with his wife in The Typist & The Tiger, Major Barbara, Rhinoceros, LUV, Waltz of the Toreadors, Twice Around the Park and Cafe Crown. They also appeared together in the Off-Broadway productions of The Diary of Anne Frank, Twice Around The Park, The Nest of the Woodgrouse and Cafe Crown. Wallach most recently appeared Off Broadway in Visiting Mr. Green.
