From Guffman to Spinal Tap: 54 Sings Christopher Guest Movies, an evening celebrating over 30 years of Guest films, is held January 22 at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

Jane Lynch, star of Glee and many of Guest’s films, hosts, via pre-recorded film, a trivia contest for audience members at the 7 PM and 9:30 PM shows.

Directed and produced by Robert W. Schneider, the concert features performances from Lauren Molina, Caroline Bowman, Emma Stratton, Kevin Zak, Annie Golden, Claybourne Elder, John Bolton, George Salazar, Allison Guinn, Tyler Brunsman, Rebecca Spigelman, Travis Kent, Todd Adamson, Sam Seferian, and Meghan Loughran.

Ben Rimalower hosts. “I would call myself a Christopher Guest nerd,” he said, “except that would implicate most people I know. Who isn't obsessed with Waiting for Guffman, Best In Show, This is Spinal Tap and the rest? Only to host such a wonderful event, would I take the night off from memorizing Mascots on Netflix!”

Producer Schneider added, “The songwriters represented in this concert are the Gods of Comedy: Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, Rob Reiner, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annette O’Toole. How lucky are we to live in a time where these brilliant comedic minds are the gold standard in satire and humor?”

The evening features music direction by Joshua Zecher Ross; Andrew Garrett Karl serves as projections designer.

Feinstein’s/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street. For more information and tickets, visit 54Below.com.
