News Annual Irish Repertory Benefit Celebrates "Song of the Century," June 5 Numerous stars are scheduled to join Irish Repertory Theatre's Charlotte Moore and Ciaran O'Reilly for the company's annual benefit on June 5. Moore will direct author Malachy McCourt, singer Rosemary Clooney, Sinead Cusack, Gabriel Byrne and other celebrities in Irish Rep's 7th Annual Broadway Benefit at the Broadhurst Theatre tonight at 7 PM.

Numerous stars are scheduled to join Irish Repertory Theatre's Charlotte Moore and Ciaran O'Reilly for the company's annual benefit on June 5. Moore will direct author Malachy McCourt, singer Rosemary Clooney, Sinead Cusack, Gabriel Byrne and other celebrities in Irish Rep's 7th Annual Broadway Benefit at the Broadhurst Theatre tonight at 7 PM.

The Irish Rep benefit is entitled, "Song of the Century: A Celebration of Irish Entertainment in the Twentieth Century."

Gabriel Byrne, currently starring in the Broadway production of Moon for the Misbegotten will host the show. Moore directs the benefit performances, which comprise "the best in Irish song, poetry and performance over the past 100 years."

The benefit evening begins with the Broadhurst show, where performances by members of the Irish Repertory Theatre are scheduled. Celebrity guest appearances and performances are expected from Donal Donnelly, Melissa Errico, Peter Gallagher, Bob Green, Marian Thomas Griffin, Rusty Magee, Malachy McCourt, Ciaran O'Reilly, Ciaran Sheehan, Eric Stoltz and Kitty Sullivan among others.

The Broadhurst show will be followed at 9 PM by a half-hour celebrity photo opportunity and subsequent gala supper at Sardi's. Tickets for the benefit and gala supper start at $100. The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. Sardi's is located at 234 West. 44th Street. Event proceeds benefit the Off-Broadway Irish Repertory Theatre, located at 132 West 22nd Street. For tickets and information contact the Irish Repertory Theatre at (212) 727-2737.
