Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins is tapped to star as an “English Stalin” in a new TV adaptation of King Lear, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reports. Emma Thompson, Emily Watson, and Florence Pugh will play his daughters—as Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia, respectively.

Theatre, opera, and film director Richard Eyre will be at the helm of the new movie, which will set Lear in contemporary times. Reportedly, Hopkins’ Lear uses the Tower of London as the base for his military dictatorship.

Producers Colin Callender and Sonia Friedman, who were behind Eyre’s 2015 Golden Globe-nominated TV film The Dresser—also starring Hopkins and Watson—are involved.

According to the Daily Mail, rehearsals are scheduled to start in September, and filming in October, though no official announcement has yet been made by BBC2.
