The new musical features a book by Danny Strong (co-creator of Fox's "Empire," writer of HBO's "Game Change" and "Recount") with music by Michael Weiner (First Date and upcoming musical adaptations of the films "Secondhand Lions" and "17 Again") and lyrics by Adam Abraham.

Galileo is described as "a new rock musical based on the true-life dramatic struggles Galileo went through as he challenged the Catholic Church to admit that the Earth was not the center of the universe. We see the passionate debates and battles Galileo engaged in, as he desperately tried to teach the world the truth of his discoveries."
