As first reported by Playbill.com, Tony Award winner Charnin (Annie, Two By Two) will direct the 29-hour Equity reading on May 3 and 6. Actress Jana Robbins and Better World Productions produce the reading.

The musical, which centers on Robin Hood and his band of men in the years following their adventures, was first presented in 2004 as part of the Village Originals series at the Village Theatre outside Seattle. Initially titled Robin Hood: The Legend Continues, the New York reading reflects new billing for the production: Robin Hood – The Final Adventure.

It has music by Sipos, a book by Tony Award winner Meehan (Annie, Hairspray, The Producers) and lyrics by Charnin. The reading will have musical direction by Kevin Stites (Titanic).

In addition to Warlow as Robin Hood, the cast will feature Shelly Burch (Nine, Annie) as Maid Marian, Jason Collins, Dan Deluca ("The Wire"), Dani De Waal (Picnic), Aloysius Gigl (Ragtime), Brian Michael Hoffman (Seussical), Richard Mark Jordan (Scrooge), Simon Jones (Blithe Spirit), Michael X. Martin (Nice Work If You Can Get It), Eric Page, AJ Shively (La Cage aux Folles), Jill Shackner (Les Miserables), Gordon Stanley (Cabaret, Ragtime), Richard M. Steele, Quinn Van Antwerp (Jersey Boys), Walter Willison (Grand Hotel) and Mark Elliot Wilson.

According to the creators, "Robin Hood, long thought to have been killed in the final battle of the Crusades, returns to England, to once again take up arms against the brutal tyranny of the brainless King John. There he reunites with his beloved Maid Marian, who has, to say the least, a major surprise for him, as they set off together on his last and greatest adventure!"
