Ben Beckley’s apocalypse drama Latter Days began its world-premiere staging February 13 at Theater 511 in a production from Dutch Kills Theater. Tony Torn and Will Dagger star with direction by Jess Chaves.

Latter Days will celebrate its opening February 24 and run until March 11 at Theater 511, located at 511 West 54th Street at 10th Avenue.

The show “is set beneath the streets of some godforsaken metropolis,” read production notes. “In a forgotten basement, a self-described King and his long-suffering servant have waited eleven years for the day the world will end. Now, at last, the apocalypse is at hand. And when the time comes, nothing will be the same.”

Set design is done by Carolyn Mraz, with costume design by Kate Fry, lighting design by Derek Wright, and sound design by Asa Wember. Allison Raynes is the stage manager.
