News Applications Now Available for Second Annual FringeNYC The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) has announced that applications are now available for their Second Annual Festival, applications are due, Feb. 28.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) has announced that applications are now available for their Second Annual Festival, applications are due, Feb. 28.

The two-week long festival, August 19 - 30, will present 175 productions from innovative, multi-disciplinary, theatre companies world-wide. In addition to offering continous live street theatre, a series of panel discussions, and workshops.

On January 31, the producers of FringeNYC, will be holding an "Open Town Meeting" at the Henry Street Settlement to discuss plans for this years' festival for more information call (212) 307-1022.

FringeNYC is under the direction of Elena K. Holy (Producing Director); Aaron Beall, artistic director of Todo Con Nada, Inc.; and John Clancy, the artistic director of The Present Company. The trio was recently awarded the 1997 New York Magazine Award for their "creativity, enterprise and vision" in producing the Festival.

The festival made news recently with its dismissal of co-founder, Jonathan Harris, who was not invited back for this years' event.
