The concert, during which Cook performs a selection of songs by a varied array of songwriters including George Gershwin, Jack Yellin and Sammy Fain, Johnny Mercer, Vincent Youmans, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen and John Lennon, will be performed May 10 at the Colden Auditorium at the Kupferberg Center at Queens College; May 31 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, NJ; and June 14 at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY.

Here's how the event is described: "In Are You Havin' Any Fun?, the legendary singer continues her foray into her newly developed repertoire of jazz and swing while also reprising her now-classic renditions of songs from Broadway and the great American songbook."

The evening features Ted Rosenthal on piano, Dave Riekenberg on woodwinds, Warren Odze on drums and Jay Leonhart on bass. Rosenthal is music director. 

Barbara Cook, a 2010 Tony nominee for her performance in Sondheim on Sondheim, has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance in The Music Man, and her one-woman show, Mostly Sondheim, was nominated for a Tony in the Best Special Theatrical Event category. Cook was also seen on the New York stage in Barbara Cook's Broadway. Both Mostly Sondheim and Barbara Cook's Broadway were recorded for DRG. Cook made her solo debut at the Metropolitan Opera, which was also released on DRG Records.
