Aretha Franklin brought the crowd to its feet during her rendition of "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," part of the tribute to Kennedy Center Honoree Carole King, whose life and music is the basis for Broadway's Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

"The 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors," which was attended by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, saluted singer-songwriter King, actresses Cicely Tyson and Rita Moreno, filmmaker George Lucas and conductor Seiji Ozawa. It was hosted by "The Late Show"'s Stephen Colbert.
